It would help greatly if parents monitor homework once or twice a week. This is best done by checking your child's homework diary that they should be bringing home each night. I sign this four nights a week, so you can be sure that this holds a list of things that your child should be doing at home. You can even sign it and write notes in it if you wish.

Notice for Parents
Recently I have had a couple of discussions with parents about homework. I was surprised to hear that it was their understanding that their child was receiving very few things to do at home. I explained that this wasn't the case at all and that homework is regular and in most weeks is quite substantial.
