With Room 25 heading off to college in 2008 there are many new and exciting adventures before you. New friends, new subjects, new teachers and new challenges. Here is my advice to you...
1. Get a diary
2. Refer to your diary everyday - Write deadlines, homework assignments, important dates such as trips etc, and contact details of significant people in.
3. Take responsibility when you stuff up - Teachers have heard all the excuses there are. When you don't do something you should have or you do something you shouldn't have... admit it and try to put it right.
4. Block out one or two nights a week for hard out study and homework - If you fill up your schedule with everything but school you won't find time for it. One night per week where you have nothing but school work to do is good.
5. Say no to drugs and alcohol - I don't know any adult who wishes they had done more drugs and alcohol at school. Even the ones who did none!
6. Play sport
7. Have a regular exercise routine - exercise is the fertilizer of the brain!
8. Treat your parents well - It is in your best interests.
